Become a home host
We're looking for families from across the community to host hundreds of international teen delegates before IC 2026 officially kicks off! This special opportunity, from approximately Thursday afternoon, February 5 through Wednesday morning, February 11, is a unique cross-cultural experience that will allow you to connect with BBYO's global network and Jewish life around the world!
Please note that hosts with current BBYO teens who complete and upload all of the Pennsylvania compliance requirements by September 10 will be eligible to sign up for IC the day before registration opens to confirm a spot.
You'll need to be able to provide the following to qualify as a Global Ambassadors Week home host:
Comfortable housing with safe, clean and appropriate sleeping arrangements. Teens can share a full bed or larger, including quality pull-out beds.
Transportation (adult drivers only) to our pick-up and drop-off locations each day, except during Shabbat. The days begin early in the morning and end in the evening. All Philadelphia area teens can easily go to school, and adult hosts will have uninterrupted work days. Pick-up points for bussing will be mapped to make the distances as short as possible.
All host families will need to greet their international delegates at Philadelphia International Airport on their day of arrival.
Vegetarian/kosher style/kosher breakfast and dinner during programming days.
If your family is engaging in an outing like a movie or eating out at a restaurant, you'll be comfortable to pay for your international delegates. This does not include casual socializing, like going to a mall where delegates shop with spending money that they have brought to purchase gifts, souvenirs, etc.
BBYO seeks to provide an inclusive rooming community and recognizes that our teens have a variety of gender identities, not limited to only male and female. BBYO offers gender-inclusive rooming. Teens can be roomed with the gender they are most comfortable with. All host families must be open to offering gender inclusive rooming.
Program details will be shared with all hosting families beginning this Fall and will be updated regularly.

Once you have an account, you will need to complete each of the following steps:
Step 1: Pennsylvania Background Check
This verifies criminal history information from the Pennsylvania State Police. These checks aim to assess the suitability of individuals for to have contact with children or other vulnerable populations
Step 2: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Check
A child abuse history clearance, also known as an Act 151 clearance, is required for certain individuals working with children or volunteering in settings where they might interact with minors. This clearance is a check to ensure individuals are not listed in the state's child abuse registry.
Step 3: FBI Fingerprint Check or Review/Sign a Disclosure Statement
“Federal Criminal History Records/FBI Check” is a check of federal criminal history information obtained by the submission of a full set of fingerprints to the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent. If you have resided in Pennsylvania for ten years consecutively, you are not required to complete an FBI fingerprint check and will instead be asked to sign a waiver.
If you have completed any of the steps outlined above within the last 5 years, you may submit any current documents to fulfill those requirements, provided they have a 5-year validity period and do not expire before February 16, 2026.
Please note that your participation as a Global Ambassador Week Home Host will be contingent upon successful completion of any Pennsylvania State required compliance steps. In order to complete your compliance and be confirmed to host BBYO teens, you must ensure that all clearances have been uploaded to the Volunteer Management System.
More information about your nearest pick-up & drop-off point will be shared closer to GAW!
